Tree Damage

5j-trees1There has been some unauthorized work, damaging some trees in the forest.

Our local forest detectives have followed up on the damage and have come up with the following report:

“A bevy of beavers passed by the retention pond near Strategy Ct and “chewed down” about 12 small trees before moving on in early December. No real harm to the retention pond area.”

What a great reminder that we live in a living forest.

Trail Repair

Our thanks go to those who worked hard repairing the trails around the bottom of Queen Bishop Lane.

They had eroded away over the years.

Thanks to Matt Hellman for the work and Paul Luchsinger for the photos.
