From an email received about the above: "A special Use Permit application is going before the James City County Planning Commission to to allow the building of a Walgreens Pharmacy and a second structure (possibly a bank) on the current site of the Lamplighter Shoppe and Cherry Realty on Jamestown Road opposite Colony Square shopping Center. There would also be a stoplight installed at the site. Residents along this historic road have asked for a public meeting at which the developer will make a presentation.
The meeting will be held Wednesday May 20 at 7pm at St. Martin's Episcopal Church.

Repairs have started on the various trails around LPF. I understand that all the trails will be repaired this spring, except for the trail around the bottom of Queen Bishop Ln, and alongside the western settlement pond. They will be repaired at a later date.

Over the previous week, there have been two instances in the Williamsburg area where two Hispanic males driving a blue or blue/gray pickup with camper shell or SUV approached residents in their homes inquiring about some tree clearing around their property. While the homeowner spoke outside with one subject, the other subject entered the residence and either stole or attempted to steal items from the residence. Please be very cautious when speaking with individuals around your home and report any suspicious activity or contact with individuals matching this description.
